Pomora is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the Pomora app.
1. Data Collection
- Personal Data: Pomora does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
- Usage Data: All timer sessions, statistics, history, and settings are stored locally on your device using MMKV storage.
- No Analytics: Pomora does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or behavioral tracking.
2. Data Usage
- Your data is used solely for providing the app's features on your device.
- No data is shared with third parties.
- No data leaves your device.
3. Permissions
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to alert you when a focus or break session ends.
- Vibrate (VIBRATE): Used to provide haptic feedback with completion notifications.
- Schedule Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to deliver notifications at precise session end times.
- Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Used to keep the timer running reliably in the background so sessions are not interrupted when the app is not in the foreground.
- Internet (INTERNET): A standard Android permission required by React Native. Pomora does not make any network requests and works entirely offline.
4. Third-Party Services
- Pomora does not connect to any third-party services.
- No data is sent to external servers, cloud services, or advertising networks.
5. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored locally on your device using MMKV, a high-performance key-value storage library.
- Data is not backed up to the cloud by default.
- Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored data.
6. Children's Privacy
Pomora does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any users. The app is safe for users of all ages.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
