A stack of empty rows, a short list of letters, and a handful of words to work out. Every real word you try drops its matching letters into place, so each attempt brings the answer closer.
What is Word Gridle?
Word Gridle is a deduction game for people who like words. Rather than hunting through a jumble of letters, you start with blank rows, one per hidden word, so all you know at first is how long each answer is.
The letters on offer are exactly the ones those answers need, which already narrows things down. From there it's a mix of vocabulary and reasoning: try a word that could fit, see which letters it fixes in place, and use that to crack the rows around it. Near misses help as much as hits, and a row can finish itself from letters you placed while chasing a different word.
